OBJECTIVE: In May 2025, Window Nation wanted to revamp one of the sizzle reel on their partner’s (Dave Logan) page that introduces the company to potential customers.
IDENTIFYING OBSTACLES: A key challenge of this video was that the company lack footages that can be used to create the sizzle reel. Therefore, I have decided to create an animated sizzle reel instead of using real footages.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: I served as the main designer, working closely with a Copywriter throughout the project. Together, we conducted the storyboard and I worked on creating the visuals and animation based off the script.
TOOLS: Wrike, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, and Blender 3D.
DURATION: 3 weeks.
PROCESS: The Copywriter and I started out by indicating what are the essential information that the sizzle reel needed and the time constraints. After the Copywriter has written up a rough draft of the script, I ran it through a voiceover generator to get a time estimate for the video and added buffer for transitional periods. We trimmed and reworked the script to its final time length.
Next, I roughed out the storyboard on paper and then transfer those sketches into Adobe Illustrator. Determining in advance which components will be animated as I set up my layers to be transferred into Adobe After Effect.
